Leilani Buschau, CAP Co-chair.
Leilani Buschau is the FASD Specialist representing Metis Child and Family Services Authority and Metis Child, Family and Community Services Agency. Since 1998, Leilani has been active in the field of FASD first through the Portage Friendship Centre and later through the Fetal Alcohol Family Association of Manitoba. In her current role she is working with the FASD Strategy Implementation Team to develop or recommend province-wide FASD programs that benefit both community-based organizations and the child welfare system. In addition she works as part of an inter-sectoral team on best practice and service standard recommendations for the child welfare system. At the agency level Leilani supports staff and caregivers through consultation, and education. Leilani has been a member of the Coalition on Alcohol and Pregnancy since 1998 and is passionate about the work of the Coalition.
Joanne Wyman, CAP Co-chair.
Joanne Wyman is the Coordinator of The Pas Mentor Program (Stop FAS) in The Pas, Manitoba. She has been coordinator with the program since July, 2001 and is very actively involved with FASD Inter-agency committee since 2002. Joanne is committed to the program and manages the day to day running of the Mentor Program. She supports two mentors in their establishing close relationships with people who may be dealing with FASD in their lives.
Joanne does presentations through out the Norman Region on FASD and provides support to parents, and individuals with FASD.
Secretary/Admin Support
Administration for CAP is supplied by an independent contractor funded by Healthy Child Manitoba.
Treasurer
Our current treasurer is the Mennonite Central Committee FASD Program who has taken on this role as of November 2009. The past treasurer was Fetal Alcohol Family Association of Manitoba.
